James Richmond brings 30 years of energy management experience on small and medium sized projects to the present task of energy savings project development, including PACE project finance. He is a Certified Energy Manager, Energy Auditor and Measurement and Verification Professional, Association of Energy Engineers. James has vast hands-on experience with facility energy audits, data logging and baseline analysis for federal and municipal energy management projects from coast to coast. He is an experienced energy modeler using the Trace® software application, and is an expert user of Microsoft Excel. He has designed utility incentive programs and written energy codes. James has evaluated the cost-effectiveness of hundreds of energy conservation measures for hundreds of facilities. He also has specialized design/build experience with integrated renewable energy systems including high-efficiency boilers, geothermal, solar-thermal, solar-photovoltaics, and hands-on expertise with integrated controls systems. James has developed and managed $15M of California Prop-39 energy projects, and $12M in guaranteed energy savings projects for Colorado public school districts, including grant writing in order to fund them. He worked with ESCO design teams that engineered the conversion of four (4) US Naval bases from central fossil fuel plants to distributed geothermal heating and air conditioning systems. He has contributed his expertise to successful energy savings projects totaling over $100M in value and has learned through all these experiences that project finance is the key to successful outcomes.

Chris Ing brings diverse career and educational backgrounds to the energy efficient and renewable energy financing industry. Mr. Ing has been involved in luxury residential home construction having run both Purchasing and Development departments for a top-ranked homebuilder in Del Mar, CA with annual revenues of over $200M. He was also a managing partner for a boutique residential real estate firm in San Diego and has overseen operations for a global wholesale and retail nutritional company. He has skills in strategic planning, operations and sales. Chris holds an undergraduate degree from the University of PEI and a graduate degree from Cal State University San Marcos.

Doug hails most recently from a successful background in the residential solar industry where he helped homeowners implement renewable energy and energy efficiency strategies in their homes. As a top salesperson and team leader, Doug brings both technical expertise and the ability to turn complex ideas into plain language. He is an energetic and passionate advocate for efficiency and renewable energy. When not actively involved in an energy project, Doug enjoys travel and cheering on the Broncos.
Energy Project Manager
Leslie graduated from Cal State University Northridge with a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management. Originally joining FNF as a summer intern in 2015, Leslie is an accomplished Energy Auditor having audited over 55 buildings. She has risen to Project Manager where she handles all facets of project implementation from bidding and contracting through to compliance and closeout. She currently manages over 130 energy projects throughout Southern and Central California. When not on-site or in the office, Leslie enjoys international travel and catering to the needs of her two cats.
Energy Project Manager
Amanda joined the First Note team as Energy Project Manager in 2017. She is an adept and skilled manager both in the field and in the office, and is currently in charge of dozens of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. Having performed energy audits across a wide range of K-12 schools and commercial facilities, Amanda brings a comprehensive understanding of energy management to her role. Amanda holds a Bachelors’ degree in Environmental Science and when not immersed in the details of her work, she enjoys international travel.
